Job description

OVERVIEW:
CCS is looking for a motivated technical professional to join our team as a Network Engineer! This individual must have a solid IT background with a strong understanding of designing, implementing, managing, and troubleshooting the organization’s network infrastructure. This role ensures secure, reliable, and high-performance connectivity across LAN, WAN, WLAN, cloud, and remote-access environments.
 PLEASE NOTE: This role is on-site Oyster Bay, NY. Candidates must currently reside in NY. Out-of-state applicants will not be considered.

Salary: $100,000 - $140,000 annually. Salary will be determined by many factors, including but not limited to qualifications, technical experience, and customer service skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Design, configure, and deploy network solutions (LAN/WAN/WLAN, VPN, firewalls).
  • Monitor, verify, and provide IT support for:
    • Switch and router interconnectivity.
    • Wireless connectivity.
    • Connectivity to the Internet and the town-wide internal network.
    • Connectivity to remote sites (Meraki site-to-site and dark fiber connections).
    • Uplinks to VMware and SQL servers and storage.
  • Manage, update, and monitor security services (FTD Firewalls - monitor security services via FireSource; ISE - RADIUS & TACACS server authentication failures).
  • Manage Crown Castle circuits.
  • Manage remote site Internet services (site-to-site - Cablevision/Verizon).
  • Provide network infrastructure engineering support for new installations (servers and communication network connectivity).
  • Network documentation and diagrams.
  • Project manage network infrastructure projects.
  • Implement network security measures including firewall policies, access controls, and VPNs.
  • Support network upgrades, patches, and firmware updates.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, diagrams, and procedures.
  • Provide tier-3 support for escalated network incidents.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in network engineering or administration.
  • Certifications: CCNA, CCNP, Network+, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing protocols (OSPF/BGP), and wireless technologies.
  • Proficiency with Cisco network platforms.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Clear communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.

MEASUREMENTS:
Success in this role requires a strong work ethic, proactive initiative, and the necessary skills to provide outstanding end-user support to the client. The ideal candidate should be dedicated to aligning with both company and client goals to deliver effective support across the client’s technological infrastructure. The candidate must uphold a punctual routine while demonstrating flexibility to work offset or extended hours as needed to support critical services and provide after-hours assistance for client initiatives.

  • Delivering exceptional end-user technical support, providing outstanding customer service, and fostering positive relationships with users while maintaining satisfaction ratings above 90%.
