Job description

  • Installing, configuring, and maintaining network systems and components to ensure uninterrupted operations within a DoD environment
  • Performing routine network diagnostics and troubleshooting to promptly resolve connectivity issues and minimize downtime
  • Monitoring network performance metrics, ensuring compliance with operational standards and identifying opportunities for process improvements
  • Providing technical support and guidance to internal teams, ensuring adherence to security protocols and system configurations
  • Maintaining detailed documentation of network infrastructure, including system configurations, maintenance logs, and troubleshooting procedures

  • Six plus years experience in a computer network support specialist role
  • One plus years experience must be with communication systems, networks, or technologies
  • Associate's Degree in a related field
  • Demonstrated ability to install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software in accordance with prescribed DoD operational requirements
  • Proficient in performing routine diagnostics, troubleshooting network anomalies, and restoring service levels expeditiously
  • Adept at monitoring network performance and employing corrective measures to ensure consistent and secure communications
  • Possess an Active DoD Secret Security Clearance

  • Familiarity with advanced network troubleshooting and diagnostic tools (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds) to support proactive system management
  • Proven experience with network infrastructure projects involving vendor equipment from leading manufacturers (e.g., Cisco, Juniper)
  • Demonstrated customer service orientation with strong communication skills to facilitate effective end-user support and cross-functional collaboration
  • Exposure to ITIL framework and change management processes, enhancing overall service delivery and operational efficiency
