General Job Summary:

FTT has an immediate need for a help desk support technician seeking a position in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently and multi-task, and relevant IT knowledge will be keys to success in this growing, stable organization.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Provides Level 1-2 Help Desk support for all applications and systems.
  • Logs all incidents reported via telephone, email or voice mail.
  • Document issues and resolutions within the company's Helpdesk software ticket system.
  • Attempts to troubleshoot and resolve all incidents reported to the Help Desk.
  • Distributes and dispatches incidents to the appropriate support groups as needed.
  • Ensures timely escalation of customer issues by gathering detailed information and assigning an appropriate priority level and resolution target.
    Conducts first-level support using documented procedures and available system tools.
  • Coordinates and tracks all system level production down resolution as necessary per documented procedures.
  • Administers user IDs and passwords along with security rights for all FTT computer systems.
  • Ability to communicate technology into business terms with customers at all levels.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Create base images and install Windows 11 Operating Systems on client workstations and laptops.
  • Maintain operating system patches and anti-virus definitions.

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows 11 in a corporate domain environment.
  • The ability to debug/troubleshoot and resolve both hardware and software issues.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Basic understanding of computer networking and connectivity.
  • Understanding of MS Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP Servers.
  • Knowledge of MS Office 365 software applications and cloud environments.
  • Research new technologies that may apply to the FTT environment.
  • The ability to perform basic website management and/or scripting and programming is a plus.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Work Environment/Physical Requirements:

  • Office and/or manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, mouse, phones, rotating wrist, using tools/equipment).
  • Ability to move and transport computer equipment throughout the facility.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
