As a Network Engineer II, you will be involved in designing, implementing, and maintaining FiberLight's network infrastructure, working collaboratively with senior engineers and cross-functional teams. You will ensure the stability, security, and scalability of our network while gaining exposure to advanced routing protocols, network automation, and Layer 2 technologies. This role provides opportunities to take on increasing responsibility in telecommunications engineering projects.


Key Responsibilities:

Contribute to the design, implementation, and management of network infrastructures.

Configure and troubleshoot routing protocols, including BGP, OSPF, and IS-IS.

Develop and maintain network automation scripts using Python and Ansible.

Use GitHub for version control and collaboration on network automation projects.

Conduct network performance analysis and implement optimizations.

Ensure network security and adherence to industry standards and compliance.

Document network designs, configurations, and operational procedures.

Provide guidance and support to junior engineers on technical tasks.

Help document network configurations, procedures, and basic designs.

Requirements

5 years of relevant experience in networking or telecommunications.

Solid experience with BGP, OSPF, and IS-IS routing protocols.

Proficiency in Python and Ansible for network automation.

Experience with GitHub for version control and collaboration.

Strong understanding of Layer 2 networking technologies, including MPLS and EVPL.
