Join CTG's Fortune 500 client as an IT Network Engineer III, where you'll design, automate, and support enterprise network infrastructure across global environments. This role is ideal for a senior network engineer with expertise in Cisco, Arista, SD-WAN, BGP/OSPF, wireless networking (MIST), and Infrastructure as Code who enjoys solving complex networking challenges while driving automation and modernization initiatives.

Type: Contract

Job Title: IT Network Engineer III

Location: Hybrid (required) – 1 day/week onsite; preference for candidates within 1 hour of Charlotte, NC or Corning, NY

Pay Rate: Based on experience

Work Hours: M-F 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and optimize enterprise LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, and wireless network solutions.
  • Configure and troubleshoot advanced routing (BGP, OSPF) and switching technologies using Cisco and Arista platforms.
  • Design, deploy, and maintain MIST wireless infrastructure for high availability and performance.
  • Automate network deployments and operations using Ansible, Terraform, Python, REST APIs, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Support Arista CloudVision and modern network management platforms.
  • Collaborate with cloud, infrastructure, security, and application teams on enterprise initiatives.
  • Develop network documentation, standards, and operational procedures.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies to improve network performance, scalability, and security.
  • Participate in on-call support and travel up to 30% as needed.
Required Skills
  • 8+ years of enterprise network engineering experience.
  • Advanced expertise with Cisco and Arista networking technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of BGP, OSPF, LAN, WAN, and SD-WAN architectures.
  • Experience with Arista CloudVision.
  • Hands-on experience with network automation using Ansible, Terraform, Python, and REST APIs.
  • Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Strong wireless networking experience, preferably with MIST.
  • Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud networking.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Manufacturing or Operational Technology (OT) networking experience is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
  • CCNP, Arista ACE, MIST, or comparable networking certifications.
  • Experience supporting large-scale global enterprise networks.
  • Financial and vendor management experience is beneficial.
