Job description

Description

The Network and Computer Systems Administrator will:

  • Install, configure, and maintain an organization's local area network (LAN), data communications network, operating systems, and physical and virtual servers.
  • Perform System monitoring and verify the integrity and availability of hardware, network, and server resources and systems.
  • Review System and application logs and verify completion of scheduled jobs, including system backups. Analyze network and server resource consumption and control user access. Install and upgrade software and maintain software licenses.
  • May assist in network emulation/virtualization, analysis, planning, and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalency certification. Preferred successful completion of associate's degree or higher from an accredited college or university in computer network or computer related fields.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in the field of computer networking and computer administration.
  • Must have or be willing to obtain one of the following certifications within 3 months of employment: Basic Position: Network+, CompTIA A+, CND. Intermediate Position: CompTIA Security+, SSCP, Cloud+, GICSP, GSEC. (Per DoD 8140 series guidance)
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds swiftlywhen tasked in operational conditions.
  • Ability to properly don and fita standard fall-arrest harnessand to fit through a roof access pointto reach the work area.
  • Ability to ascend and descend atowerof up to 164 feetusing approved fall-protection/climbing systems, maintain three points of contact, and perform tasks at height.
  • Ability to obtain a Top-Secret security clearance.

The anticipated salary for this position is $80,000-$120,000 depending on experience.
