Job description

Mead & Hunt, Inc., a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has one or more positions available for a Mechanical CAD/BIM technician for our Building Engineering Group. This position will be based out of our Denver, CO, Madison, WI or Sacramento, CA office locations.
The successful candidate must have the following:
  • Associate degree (or higher) in computer aided drafting (CAD) or related field from an accredited institution and at least 1 year of relevant experience; OR if no degree, must have at least 3 years of relevant professional experience.

The ideal candidate will have experience with any/all of the following:
  • Drawing mechanical systems for building projects using Revit software
  • Setting up engineering drawing sets in Revit software
  • Applying design standards to engineering drawings
  • Drawing, laying out, sizing, coordinating and detailing mechanical systems
  • Attending project team meetings
  • Coordinating with the design team
  • Experience or familiarity with generative AI-driven tools, platforms, or systems (e.g. Microsoft Copilot, Chat GPT, Claude, Gemini) to enhance productivity, automate tasks, and reduce errors
  • Occasional travel may be required
