Job description

Clarience Technologies is seeking a Network Team Lead for our corporate field office in Southfield, MI!


RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Oversee the design and operation of enterprise-wide WAN, LAN, WLAN, and cloud-connected networks supporting multiple distinct business units.
  • Develop and enforce network architecture standards, policies, and procedures across the portfolio.
  • Act as the senior technical authority for all network-related initiatives, ensuring alignment with corporate security and performance objectives.
  • Architect, deploy, and maintain enterprise-grade network solutions.
  • Lead advanced troubleshooting for network and security issues, coordinating with internal teams and external vendors.
  • Design and implement network segmentation, zero trust architectures, and scalable VPN/remote access solutions.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to regional and local network administrators supporting the 30 companies.
  • Collaborate with corporate IT leadership to support mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures (M&A), ensuring seamless network integration and separation.
  • Partner with cybersecurity teams to ensure networks are hardened against emerging threats and compliance requirements (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, CMMC).
  • Lead network-related projects from conception through implementation, including budgeting, vendor management, and executive reporting.
  • Evaluate and recommend new networking technologies and solutions to support organizational growth and innovation.

Requirements:

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT(S):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Professional networking certifications (strongly preferred and can substitute for some formal education in certain cases).


EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT(S):

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in network engineering, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead role.
  • Proven experience managing multi-tenant or multi-organization network environments.
  • Expertise in designing and supporting enterprise networks.
