Position Overview

Davidson’s is currently seeking an IT Specialist to join our hard-working Information Technology team at our offices in Prescott, Arizona!


The successful hands-on candidate will be an expert at IT support to over 200 employees at 5 locations + our remote users and supporting the IT infrastructure already in place. The IT Specialist will utilize his or her proven technical and client service skills as they respond to end user support issues in a rapidly growing high-volume atmosphere. The IT Specialist will also ensure our network security and protect us against unauthorized access, modifications, or destruction of corporate data.


IT Specialist Responsibilities include

  • Support the day-to-day operations of IT infrastructure for the company
  • Installing new software and hardware components, including cloud and VMware resources
  • Support of all monitoring tools for the company topology
  • Regularly evaluating IT systems to ensure they meet the necessary demands and      security requirements
  • Assist with resolving all issues staff have with their IT systems and associated      software
  • Assist with network and systems administration
  • Work with internal and external clients to resolve tickets/issues
  • Educating coworkers about network security and best practices for computer usage
  • Rotating on-call technical support after hours


The ideal IT Specialist candidate would possess

  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Working knowledge of relevant operating systems, software, network topology, and design. (VMware V-SAN or similar)
  • Hands-on working knowledge of AWS - admin existing multi-server environments, spin up new multi environments, IAM, backups
  • Ability to lift, move and inspect computer equipment, servers, printers, and related equipment
  • Certifications from CompTIA, Microsoft, VMware, AWS or equivalent educational credentials are a plus
  • The ability to work in an independent manner with little need for direct supervision
  • A demonstrated ability for planning and organization
  • The ability to communicate in a professional and articulate manner with internal and external contacts at all levels
