Job description

Title: Network Engineer

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Type: Full-Time Permanent

Compensation: $110,000-140,000

This role supports the design, operation, and evolution of enterprise and campus network environments across physical and cloud-based infrastructure. You’ll work hands-on with LAN, WAN, and wireless networks while partnering with internal teams and vendors to deliver reliable, secure connectivity. The role blends technical execution, mentoring, and lifecycle planning in a fast-moving environment that values continuous learning.

Your role:

·     Design, implement, and support LAN, WAN, and WLAN environments across campus, data center, and cloud platforms.

·     Manage and troubleshoot routing, switching, wireless, VPN, firewall, and load-balancing technologies in complex environments.

·     Lead network design and redesign efforts for campus buildings and distributed locations.

·     Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to evaluate requirements, review solutions, and execute network projects.

·     Review vendor proposals and contribute recommendations for new builds, upgrades, and lifecycle planning.

·     Mentor junior network administrators and provide technical guidance during troubleshooting and project work.

·     Document network designs, configurations, and operational standards to support long-term stability.

·     Present technical designs and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences using diagrams and visual tools.

·     Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support to maintain 24/7 network availability.

What you’ve got:

·     Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.

·     Five or more years of hands-on experience in network administration or engineering roles.

·     Strong experience with routing and switching protocols including TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, MPLS, and SD-WAN.

·     Experience supporting campus and data center networking technologies in enterprise environments

·     Working knowledge of wireless networking, VPN technologies, firewalls, and load balancers.

·     Familiarity with network monitoring, troubleshooting tools, and packet capture analysis.

·     Experience working with common enterprise networking hardware and platforms.

·     Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed and participate in on-call rotation.

·     Willingness to travel between campuses regularly, with occasional regional travel.

·     Exposure to cloud networking and hybrid environments preferred.

·     Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, ITIL Foundation, or cloud fundamentals certifications preferred.
