Job description

Analytics Sales Engineer

Are you a driven, technically savvy sales professional with a passion for driving customer success and revenue growth? Do you thrive in a dynamic environment where you're the bridge between cutting-edge technology and real-world manufacturing challenges? As a leading foundry manufacturer, Roberts Sinto Corporation is looking for an Analytics Sales Engineer to lead the charge in prospecting and expanding our Industry 4.0 solutions.

In this role, you will be the driving force of our Industry 4.0 team, focusing primarily on generating sales, pipeline development, and the strategic expansion of our IoT footprint. You'll engage directly with prospects and customers, guiding them through the entire sales lifecycleโ€”from initial discovery and lead generation to demonstrating ROI and closing deals. If you're a natural closer who can translate complex technical details into compelling business value and are driven by revenue growth, we want to hear from you!

What You'll Do:

As an Analytics Sales Engineer, you'll be the trusted technical advisor and primary growth driver for our IoT portfolio. Your day-to-day will involve a strategic blend of business development, technical sales, and customer engagement:

  • Sales Engineering & Business Development:
    • Prospect, identify, and aggressively close deals and opportunities for new sales of our I4.0 Solutions.
    • Spearhead lead generation campaigns and uncover new areas of use for our IoT solutions within both new and existing customer operations.
    • Generate technical estimates and proposals for IoT solutions, including line-side and driver development.
    • Translate technical benefits into financial value by calculating and presenting compelling ROI to key decision-makers.
    • Maintain strong, jovial relationships with clients, earning their trust as a reliable technical partner to facilitate upselling and cross-selling opportunities.

  • Technical Sales & Customer Engagement:

  • Serve as the trusted technical advisor during the sales process, effectively positioning our proprietary data analysis platform, Sinto Smart Foundry.
  • Conduct high-impact on-site visits to deliver technical demonstrations, provide strategic guidance, and showcase product value to prospects.
  • Leverage data to demonstrate concrete value to prospects and optimize their manufacturing processes.
  • Ask targeted discovery questions to quickly understand client pain points and guide them toward the appropriate IoT solutions via phone, email, or in person.
  • Coach customers on effectively using our data analysis platform to maximize production output, ensuring successful proof-of-concepts and deployments.
  • Provide prompt and accurate feedback to customers to ensure all issues are properly managed during the trial and onboarding phases.

  • Implementation & Strategic Optimization
    • Contribute to special projects involving advanced technologies like AI, process control, and machine learning to expand our market offerings.
    • Translate customer data visualization requests into actionable dashboards and reports to prove ongoing value.
    • Collaborate closely with our engineering team to define the sequence of operations and data required to ensure optimal system performance for new sales.
    • Configure and deploy edge device hardware and software backends for data collection within foundry environments.
    • Install, configure, diagnose, and troubleshoot software and hardware problems to ensure a seamless customer experience.

What We're Looking For:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in a sales engineer, field application engineer, technical support, or similar revenue-generating technical role, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
  • Sales & Technical Proficiency:
    • Fundamental understanding and positioning of Industry 4.0 core technologies and how systems are integrated.
  • Proven track record in leveraging data to demonstrate value and utilizing ROI calculation to translate technical capabilities into financial wins.
  • Extensive experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to present compelling business cases.
  • Experience with cloud technologies and edge computing (GCP, AWS, or Azure).
  • Strong network knowledge, including understanding of subnets, gateways, DNS, NAT routing, and VPNs.
  • Understanding of Cybersecurity Fundamentals and basic knowledge of PLCs.
  • Experience with programming languages (e.g., HTML, Java, CSS, Python).
  • Experience with data analysis, data modeling, machine learning, or artificial intelligence is a significant plus.
  • Customer & Sales Focus: A "customer first" mentality is essential. You must be skilled at explaining complex technical details in a clear and simple manner to a variety of audiences, including technical buyers and executives.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of delivering persuasive presentations and accurate reports.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: A strong ability to break down and understand complex problems. You should be adept at diagnosing and troubleshooting technical issues, including installation and network configuration problems.
  • Adaptability: Ability to prioritize and manage several open issues at one time, and to adapt to evolving customer needs and technological advancements.

Ultimately, you will be a person our customers trust implicitly. They will rely on you to provide timely and accurate solutions to their technical challenges and to help them unlock new efficiencies through our IoT offerings.
