Job description

JSM Airport Services, LLC is seeking an Intern Data Modeling Analyst. The Data Modeling Analyst is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data models that support maintenance operations, inventory control, financial reporting, and performance analytics across passenger boarding bridges (PBBs) and baggage handling systems (BHS). This role ensures that data from CMMS, inventory systems, financial platforms, and site-level operations is structured, accurate, and actionable. The analyst plays a key role in enabling data-driven decisions that improve on-time maintenance performance, equipment reliability, optimize spare parts inventory, and enhance operational and financial performance across all service locations. The analyst works closely with IT, operations, CMMS, and leadership teams to ensure accurate data modeling and its integrity and usability.

Compensation:

  • Full-Time/Temporary (Approximately 90 Days)
  • Weekly Pay
  • Hourly Rate: $20.00

Work Schedule:

Monday – Friday 8:30 am – 5:00 pm, may require collaboration across multiple sites/time zones, and may require limited travel, short-duration trips to FL HQ and/or DEN.

Job Responsibilities:

Data Modeling & Architecture

  • Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models
  • Develop data schemas for data warehouses and operational systems
  • Ensure alignment of data models with business processes and reporting needs
  • Standardize data definitions, naming conventions, and structures

Data Integration & Management

  • Collaborate with CMMS and IT professionals to support ETL/ELT processes
  • Map data from multiple source systems into unified models
  • Ensure data model quality, consistency, and integrity across sites

Business Intelligence Support

  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand reporting and analytics needs
  • Optimize data structures for dashboards and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
  • Support KPI development and metric standardization
  • Enable self-service model usage through well-defined data formatting and sourcing

Documentation & Governance

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of data models and data flows
  • Support data governance initiatives including data standards and policies
  • Establish and enforce best practices for data modeling and management

Analysis & Continuous Improvement

  • Analyze existing data systems and recommend improvements
  • Identify opportunities to improve performance, scalability, and usability of data models
  • Support advanced analytics initiatives, including predictive modeling and forecasting

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or related field
  • Equivalent experience may be considered
  • 2+ years of experience in data modeling, data analysis, or database design
  • Experience working with relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, etc.)
  • Experience with data warehousing concepts (star schema, snowflake schema)
  • Strong SQL skills (querying, joins, performance tuning)
  • Experience with data modeling tools (e.g., ER/Studio, ERwin, or similar)
  • Familiarity with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
  • Understanding of ETL/ELT processes and tools
  • Knowledge of data governance and data quality best practices
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time

Additional Requirements:

The employee must be able to successfully pass a drug screening, a drivers’ license check and validation, a ten (10) year Criminal History Records Check (CHRC), federal fingerprinting and security threat assessment as well as airport security badging.
