Position Summary
The incumbent will play a critical role in ensuring the availability, reliability, security, and performance of IT systems supporting plant operations, business applications, and corporate users. This position requires hands-on experience in managing industrial IT environments, troubleshooting infrastructure issues, supporting ERP users, maintaining cybersecurity controls, and delivering business-critical IT services in a 24x7 manufacturing environment.
The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in enterprise IT infrastructure, networking, Microsoft technologies, industrial support environments, and user services while ensuring minimal downtime and uninterrupted plant operations.
Job Responsibilities
IT Infrastructure & Support
  • Provide L1/L2 support for desktops, laptops, printers, servers, and IT peripherals.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows OS, enterprise applications, servers, storage, and virtualization platforms.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, system monitoring, and infrastructure health checks.
Network & System Administration
  • Support LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, and internet connectivity.
  • Troubleshoot network issues and coordinate with vendors for service reliability.
  • Manage Active Directory, user access, and Microsoft 365 services.
ERP & Application Support
  • Support ERP systems (preferably SAP) and business-critical applications.
  • Resolve application issues and coordinate with vendors for escalations.
Helpdesk & End-User Support
  • Manage IT incidents and service requests within SLA timelines.
  • Provide on-site and remote technical support, user training, and guidance.
Cybersecurity & Business Continuity
  • Support endpoint security, patch management, vulnerability remediation, and compliance initiatives.
  • Monitor backups, disaster recovery processes, and business continuity activities.
Asset, Vendor & Plant IT Operations
  • Manage IT assets, software licenses, and vendor relationships.
  • Provide IT support for plant operations, remote sites, and critical production environments.
  • Support infrastructure upgrades, maintenance activities, and operational continuity.
Documentation & Continuous Improvement
  • Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and service reports.
  • Drive process improvements, automation, and infrastructure modernization initiatives.
Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure adherence to organizational safety, security, and operational standards.
  • Promote reliable and efficient IT operations through proactive monitoring and preventive maintenance.

Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in IT Technical Support, Infrastructure Support, Systems Administration, or IT Operations.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, including endpoint protection, antivirus management, patch deployment, vulnerability remediation, access control management, and compliance with corporate IT security standards.
  • Proven experience in supporting business-critical IT environments.
  • Experience working with ERP systems, preferably SAP, in manufacturing or industrial environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience in administering and supporting Windows Server environments, Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft 365, DNS, DHCP, and enterprise user management in a multi-site industrial setup.
