Our IT department plays a vital role in maintaining and supporting technology infrastructure across campus to ensure a seamless experience for students, faculty, and staff.

Overview / Job Summary:

WSU Tech is seeking a knowledgeable and service-oriented IT Technician to support the installation, maintenance, and operation of computer systems, desktops, peripherals, and related technology. This position plays a critical role in ensuring reliable technology services for faculty, staff, students, and campus operations.

The ideal candidate is technically skilled, customer-focused, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced educational environment.

Your primaryย responsibilitiesย will include:

  • Provide IT support for hardware, software, peripherals, and classroom technology
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot computer systems and applications
  • Resolve service requests and document solutions using the IT ticketing system
  • Support audiovisual systems, events, labs, and special IT projects
  • Follow IT policies and security standards while delivering excellent customer service

Requirements

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in IT or equivalent experience in a related field preferred
  • Demonstrated experience with computer hardware, software installation, imaging, and deployment
  • Basic understanding of desktop and user support environments
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team

Certifications/Licenses

  • CompTIA A+ 220-801 and 220-802 Course completion or CompTIA A+ Certifications
