Global Information Services is the team within Albany chartered with providing leading-edge systems and technologies to internal users as well as Albany customers. Description

Reporting to the Chief Information Officer (CIO), this position is responsible for leading and developing a global team focused on delivering worldclass enterprise application and analytics solutions across the organization. The Director will oversee key platforms including SAP S/4HANA, Microsoft Fabric, and other critical technologies within the broader SAP and Microsoft ecosystems.

This leader will play a pivotal role in partnering with global business stakeholders and GIS teams to maintain stable, highperforming systems while driving modernization, innovation, and new capabilities in a dynamic and rapidly evolving environment. The position requires strategic vision, strong leadership, and deep collaboration to ensure enterprise applications and analytics solutions effectively scale with the company's growth and deliver meaningful business value.

Responsibilities Lead and mentor a global team of analysts and analytics professionals, fostering a highperformance, collaborative culture. Oversee strategy, delivery, and optimization of core enterprise platforms, including SAP S/4HANA, Microsoft Fabric, the broader SAP and Microsoft ecosystems, any key satellite solutions. Drive modernization initiatives and champion strategic valuefocused innovations across applications, analytics, and data platforms. Partner closely with business units, divisional leaders, and corporate leadership to align technology capabilities with enterprise goals. Manage and continuously improve enterprise support, ensuring reliability, performance, and user satisfaction. Maintain and prioritize a project portfolio that delivers measurable business value, balancing strategic initiatives with ongoing operational needs. Ensure governance, security, and compliance across enterprise applications and data solutions. Cultivate deep crossfunctional partnerships to influence decisionmaking and accelerate adoption of modern tools and practices. Track industry trends and emerging technologies to inform longterm platform strategy and innovation roadmap.

Formal Education & Certification

  • University degree in the field of computer science or information systems or equivalent work related experience.

Knowledge & Experience

  • 15+ years of progressive hands-on leadership experience in enterprise applications, analytics, or digital transformation roles.
  • Demonstrated success leading global, crossfunctional technology teams with a mix of application, data, and analytics professionals.
  • Deep experience managing enterprise platforms such as SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC or related SAP modules, along with strong familiarity with Microsoft technologies (Azure, Fabric, Power Platform, M365).
  • Proven track record delivering largescale modernization initiatives, platform upgrades, cloud migrations, and data/analytics transformations.
  • Handson experience managing complex application landscapes and support environments, including SLAs, incident management, and continuous improvement programs.
  • Strong background overseeing a significant portfolio of projects, enterprise implementations, enhancements, integrations, and analytics solutions.
  • History of partnering closely with senior business leaders, understanding business processes, and translating needs into strategic technology roadmaps.
  • Experience establishing governance frameworks, architecture standards, and data management best practices across a global enterprise.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and develop highperforming teams, including talent acquisition, coaching, succession planning, and organizational design.
  • Solid vendor management experience, including SAP, Microsoft, systems integrators, consulting partners, and managed service providers.
  • Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and business case development for enterprise technology investments.
  • Experience driving adoption of innovative tools, analytics practices, automation, and AIenabled capabilities in a business environment.
