Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Financial Systems Manager to join our team. In this role, you will support and optimize the specialized systems that run across our accounting and tax functions, including our investment accounting and third-party tax reporting platforms. The successful candidate will have a strong background in requirements gathering, system design, configuration, testing, and process improvement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for investment accounting and tax systems, advising on strategy for expanding and modernizing that portfolio.
  • Provide configuration, administration, and ongoing support for the firm's investment accounting and tax systems, including FIS Private Capital Suite (Investran), FIS Digital Data Exchange (DDX), and ONESOURCE, along with their related data flows and Excel add-ins.
  • Evaluate proposed accounting and tax process changes, analyze impact across integrated systems, recommend practical solutions or alternatives and own the full solution lifecycle, from requirements gathering to coordinating implementation across systems and teams.
  • Configure and maintain specialized financial databases and their supporting tools, including Microsoft Access applications, and grow into the underlying business domains they serve.
  • Build, analyze, and troubleshoot financial reports and system data flows.
  • Identify opportunities and implement solutions to improve accounting and tax processes, including streamlining workflows, deploying robotic process automation (RPA) to replicate repetitive manual actions, or leveraging AI tools to accelerate analysis and decision-making
  • Provide operational and post-production support to accounting and tax partners.
  • Develop and maintain process and system configuration documentation.
  • Train and support end users on investment accounting and tax systems, and lead knowledge transfer during onboarding, transitions, and system changes.
  • Assist with other financial systems as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as required by supervisor.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Information Systems, or related field.
  • 7+ years of requirements gathering, system design, configuration, testing, and/or support of financial systems.
  • Experience configuring and supporting financial or accounting systems (e.g., Workday, Oracle, or comparable enterprise platform). Direct experience with investment accounting or tax systems comparable to FIS Private Capital Suite or ONESOURCE strongly desired.
  • Experience working with Accounting or Tax departments preferred.
  • Working knowledge of accounting concepts sufficient to partner effectively with accounting and tax teams; the ability to hold your own on accounting concepts is a plus.
  • Experience with automation or RPA is a plus.
  • Experience leveraging AI tools in a professional setting is a plus.
  • Experience developing or supporting Microsoft Access databases is a plus.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Excellent verbal, written and organizational communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior management.
