How You'll Make an Impact

As Director of IT, you'll help define and execute the technology strategy that supports ADS's continued growth and innovation.


In this role, you will:

  • Develop and execute the organization's IT strategy in partnership with the Chief Information Officer.
  • Lead enterprise-wide digital transformation, automation, and AI initiatives.
  • Oversee IT infrastructure, software development, cloud technologies, and end-user support.
  • Drive innovation by evaluating and implementing emerging technologies that improve business performance and customer experience.
  • Ensure secure, scalable, and high-performing technology systems across the organization.
  • Lead cybersecurity initiatives, including vulnerability management, disaster recovery, business continuity, and risk mitigation.
  • Guide software development priorities while promoting best practices in architecture, DevOps, testing, and deployment.
  • Partner with business leaders to prioritize technology investments and deliver scalable business solutions.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop IT and Software Development leaders while fostering a high-performing, collaborative culture.

Background & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive IT leadership experience.
  • Experience leading IT infrastructure, software development, and technical support teams.
  • Proven success delivering enterprise-wide technology initiatives.
  • Experience in a multi-site, 24/7, or service-based organization preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, enterprise systems, software development lifecycle (SDLC), and IT governance.
  • Experience with AI, automation, and digital transformation initiatives is highly desirable.

Work Environment

This is a full-time, onsite leadership position based in Illinois. The Director of IT works primarily in a professional office environment while collaborating with teams across the organization and occasionally visiting operational locations. This role requires regular computer use, meetings, presentations, and collaboration with executive leadership.

Compensation

Starting salary is based on experience, leadership background, education, technical expertise, and overall qualifications. Base Salary: $160,000–$175,000 annually
