MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to join our team in Fairmont, WV.

In this critical full-time role, you will be responsible for the overall cybersecurity posture of a large-scale government enterprise. As a senior member of the team, you will serve as the principal advisor on all matters related to information systems security and compliance, ensuring that a government cybersecurity center maintains authorization to operate (ATO) and maintains a strong security posture against evolving threats.

 Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Lead the preparation of documentation and coordination with government and technical staff for annual A&A's performed by government assessors.

  • Lead the development, maintenance, and oversight of system security plans (SSPs) and other RMF documentation required for system accreditation and authorization to operate (ATO).

  • Conduct continuous monitoring and internal audits to ensure compliance with government security standards and policies.

  • Advise and assist system administrators and engineers in the implementation and management of security controls.

  • Oversee the vulnerability management program, ensuring security patches and vulnerability mitigations are implemented in a timely manner.

  • Collaborate with the Cybersecurity Operations Center (CSOC) and other security teams during incident response efforts, providing expertise on system security and controls.

  • Develop and update security policies, procedures, and training materials to promote a culture of security awareness.

 Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as an ISSO or in a similar cybersecurity role, with a strong background in government or DoD environments.

  • In-depth knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems, networking, and common cybersecurity tools.

  • Continuous monitoring and internal auditing experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or Security+ are preferred.

  • Extensive experience with the NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) and other security control standards preferred.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S citizen with a current/active Top Secret clearance.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% and constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.


The projected compensation range for this position is $99,500.00-$165,900.00.
