QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Associate degree or equivalent program in computer technology.
  2. Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Apple OS X , and Apple iOS operating systems.
  3. Experience and knowledge in computer troubleshooting.
  4. Ability to communicate technical and non-technical information verbally and in writing.
  5. Effectively work with staff, faculty, and students.
  6. Ability to think critically, set goals, and work independently or with a team.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Desktop Support Technician provides first-level support to staff, faculty, and students; ensuring smooth classroom and administrative technology. The ideal candidate has strong troubleshooting skills, excellent communication, and a passion for supporting education. 
RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Hardware & Software Management:  Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain district computer hardware, peripherals, software, and smartboards.
  2. Diagnostics & Repair:  Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues efficiently to minimize downtime in classrooms and offices.
  3. Help desk Ticket Resolution:  Prioritize and resolve assigned calls and tickets.
  4. Assist & Inventory Tracking:  Maintain inventory. Systematically and physically.
  5. District Vision Alignment:  Perform other relevant duties as needed to support the educational vision and operational goals of the Englewood Cliffs School District.
  6. You will directly manage and support a diverse array of platforms and applications, including but not limited to:
    1. Operating Systems:  Windows, Apple macOS, and iOS (iPads).
    2. MDM & Management:  Jamf Pro/Jamf School, Google Admin Console.
    3. Productivity Suites:  Microsoft Office and Google Workspace for Education.
    4. Admin Software:  Genesis (SIS) and ClassLink (SSO).

 
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Twelve-month position
