The Application Delivery Technical Lead is responsible for providing technical guidance to the software engineers through the configuration, or modification of new solutions for the business and resolving architectural or design deficiencies. The Technical Lead will work with architects, developers, business users and the Delivery Manager to ensure that project deliverables are aligned with desired business processes and IT design standards. The Technical Lead will assist technical teams in developing a clear understanding of complex business problems and recommending appropriate solutions. This role serves as a technical lead for project teams throughout the implementation and maintenance of business and enterprise software solutions. In addition, this role personally develops and delivers code modules, stable application systems, integrated enterprise software solutions and assist with architectural diagrams.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provides consultation on business requirements and functional specifications in logical program designs, code modules, application systems, and software solutions; facilitates the transition to high level design and supports the project lifecycle with input from leadership where needed
- Reviews the development or modification of highly complex, enterprise level software solutions
- 50/50 role with 50% being design, mentorship, leadership as well as 50% hands on delivery of code
- Develops and validates highly complex software design prototypes, ensuring software designs adhere to company architecture standards
- Contributes to and leverages the technical direction for the development, configuration, or modification of integrated business and/or enterprise application solutions within various computing environments by providing insight and guidance for the design and coding of component-based applications
- Ensure related detailed functional and/or technical requirements, design, and test scripts are documented for all enhancements
- Responsible for the code management and implementation to production process in accordance with established IT Compliance and Auditing policies.
- Serves as a technical lead for project teams throughout the implementation and maintenance of business and enterprise software solutions by leveraging partnerships with technology teams and business leaders to resolve escalated issues
- Mentors and advises others, sharing an in-depth understanding of company and industry methodologies, policies, standards, and controls
- Provides recommendations and input on options, risks, costs, and benefits for software solution designs and identifies specific interfaces and methods required to support software solutions
- Facilitates the implementation and maintenance of complex business and enterprise software solutions to ensure successful deployment of released applications
Job Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience in a related field:
- 5 years of experience in software development
- 3 years of experience in database technologies
- 5 years of experience on projects involving the implementation of solutions applying development life cycles (SDLC)
- 3 years of experience in systems analysis, including defining technical requirements and performing high level design for complex solutions
- Experience in programming and software development including but not limited to RPG, Java, SQL, Angular, APIs design and implementation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- 3 Years of IT experience developing and implementing systems within an organization
- 3 Years of experience working with an application and integration middleware
- 3 Years of experience writing technical documentation in a software development environment
- 3 Years of experience working with source code control systems
- 3 Years of experience in systems analysis, including defining technical requirements and performing high level design for complex solutions
- Experience working with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment tools
- Knowledge of RPG highly preferred.
- Knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, and APIs are required.
- Knowledge of Angular is a bonus.
Compensation Range:
The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training, skill level, and state/local wage requirements.
($105,716-$132,144)
