This is a full-time, in-office position based out of Rockstar's unique game development studio in Oakville, ON.ย 

WHAT WE DO
  • The Rockstar Games Technical Artย team creates,ย maintainsย and enhancesย tools and workflows forย artists across our Art, Animation, and VFX teams.ย ย 
  • We create andย maintainย photogrammetryย tools and pipelines, and support live scan sessions.ย ย 
  • We drive innovationย and efficiencyย inย our pipelines by continuously researching and developingย new technology.ย ย 
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Design, develop, and support tools and pipelines in DCC and standalone contexts.ย ย 
  • Develop automated solutionsย for data processing.ย ย ย 
  • Stayย informed on the latest technology and researchย related toย theย art of data pipelines andย machine learning.ย ย 
  • Write clear and detailed documentation for tools and workflows.ย 
  • Diagnose and solveย technical issuesย affecting artists.ย ย 
REQUIREMENTS
  • 5+ years ofย experienceย as a Technical Artist, Technical Director, Tools Programmer, or similar.ย ย 
  • Experience developing tools for DCCs like Houdini,ย Zbrush,ย Agisoft, orย Metashape.ย 
  • Experience working through a fullย gameย production cycleย orย long-termย project.ย 
  • A strong understanding of Photogrammetry workflows and software.ย ย 
  • Proficiencyย in Python.ย 
  • Experience with build systems like Jenkins, Airflow,ย orย Celery.ย ย ย 
  • An understanding of a 3D asset pipeline andย colorย management.ย ย ย 
  • Ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions to complex problems.ย 
PLUSES

  • A degree in Computer Science or related discipline.ย ย
