Position Description

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering invitesapplications for an Adjunct Faculty position to teach undergraduateand/or graduate courses in cybersecurity, computer engineering, andartificial intelligence (AI). The successful candidate willdemonstrate expertise in cybersecurity principles, computerengineering, and emerging AI technologies, with a commitment tohigh-quality instruction, student engagement, and experientiallearning.


Job Responsibilities

  • Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in cybersecurity,computer engineering, artificial intelligence, and relatedareas.

  • Develop and update course materials to reflect current industrystandards and technological advancements.

  • Deliver engaging lectures, laboratory instruction, and hands-onlearning experiences.

  • Assess student learning through assignments, projects,examinations, and presentations.

  • Provide timely feedback and maintain regular communication withstudents.

  • Maintain accurate course records and submit grades according touniversity deadlines.

  • Collaborate with full-time faculty on curriculum development andcontinuous program improvement.

  • Support ABET accreditation efforts by documenting studentlearning outcomes and assessment activities, if requested.

  • Encourage ethical practices, innovation, and professionaldevelopment among students.

  • Maintain office hours and respond to student inquiries in atimely manner.


Requirements

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering,or a closely related field from an accredited institution.

  • Demonstrated expertise in cybersecurity and computerengineering.

  • Working knowledge of artificial intelligence tools andapplications, including generative AI technologies.

  • Ability to teach effectively in face-to-face, hybrid, and onlinelearning environments.
