POSITION: Software Engineering Manager

LOCATION: Jupiter, FL.

STATUS: Salary-Exempt


JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Development Technical Leader to join our team in Jupiter, FL. This role will serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in software development and lead the design, development, and deployment of customer facing digital products and lead our technical digital transformation. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in software architecture and standards, AI/ML technologies, team building and leadership, data analytics and cloud-native development.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential functions of the job include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Serve as the technical leader for operational data products and enterprise data pipeline driving architecture and development strategy.
  • Lead and mentor software development teams through the full software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Define and enforce software development standards, best practices, and processes across the organization.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with IT, product management, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality, customer-facing software solutions.
  • Apply AI/ML techniques to enhance product capabilities and optimize/automate operational workflows.
  • Work with AWS IT Architect and optimize cloud-based infrastructure, with a focus on cost efficiency and scalability (AWS preferred).
  • Support modeling and simulation initiatives to improve product performance and reliability.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education & Training


  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.


Skills/Experience

  • 8+ years of progressive software engineering experience.
  • 3+ years in a management or technical leadership role overseeing engineering teams.
  • Proven experience as a Software Engineering Leader with a track record of launching customer-facing software products.
  • Deep understanding of SDLC, architecture, and agile methodologies.
  • Demonstrated expertise in AI/ML technologies and their application in industrial or operational contexts.
  • Experience designing data pipelines, ETL processes, data lake/warehouse architectures.
  • Experience with AWS AI/ML services and tools including Sage Maker, Quick, Bedrock, Glue Athena, S3 and Q.
  • Familiarity with code configuration and project management tools (e.g., JIRA, GitHub).
  • Industry experience in energy, aerospace, or industrial automation is a plus.
