Job description

Job Description: CPH has a full-time opening in our Fort Myers, Florida location for the following position:
Civil Designer/Drafter/CAD Technician with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a Civil Engineering firm.
This position provides an opportunity for a skilled, self-motivated, and detail-oriented professional to join an established, growing Architectural and Engineering Design Firm. CPH, Inc. is a multi-disciplined firm that provides its clients complete services from project inception through construction. Our in-house professionals include Engineers, Architects, Landscape Architects, Planners, Surveyors, Biologists and Construction Management personnel. Our teams develop innovative solutions for complex design challenges and are dedicated to providing clients with the highest quality service. CPH has been in business for over 38 years and is consistently ranked as one of the Top 500 Design Firms in the nation by ENR.
Duties May Include:
Develops detailed site construction plans, roadway and utility drawings in AutoCAD/Civil 3D. Strong Emphasis on CAD capabilities, speed and accuracy.
Coordinates with all Disciplines involved.
Produce Contract and Construction Documents ready for construction.
Calculates quantities, areas, etc. commensurate with civil engineering as well as prepare data required for roadway, utility, and storm water design.
Plot and prepare plan sets as required for agency and construction submittals.
Conduct field work including construction inspections, coordination with contractors, and certification of site & utility improvements.
Performs such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.
*FDOT construction inspection certifications and/or field experience a plus
Requirements:
The ideal candidates for these positions will have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a Civil Engineering or Construction.
Experience in Land Development, Civil 3D Roadway Design, Utility Design and field inspections.
Candidate needs to be a self-starter, highly motivated and ready to design and draft private, public and commercial projects with little or no supervision.
