Job Summary
We are seeking a Digital Design Engineer to support the design, development, integration, and testing of advanced digital hardware used in defense and mission-critical systems. This role will work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop digital circuit card assemblies, embedded hardware, and high-speed electronic subsystems.
The ideal candidate will have experience with digital circuit design, hardware development, and system integration, along with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, and integrate digital electronic hardware.
  • Support digital circuit design activities from schematic capture through system integration and validation testing.
  • Develop hardware requirements, design specifications, and test plans based on system-level requirements.
  • Perform hardware prototyping, debugging, troubleshooting, and performance verification.
  • Support the development of circuit card assemblies, FPGA-based designs, embedded processors, and high-speed interfaces.
  • Create and maintain engineering documentation, design artifacts, and technical reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to resolve technical issues and ensure successful product delivery.
  • Participate in design reviews and technical discussions throughout the product lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering discipline with at least 2 years of engineering experience, or a Master's degree in a related field.
  • Experience with digital circuit design and hardware development.
  • Experience supporting design activities from schematic capture through test and integration.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience designing and debugging digital electronics hardware.
  • Hands-on experience with FPGA-based systems, embedded processors, or high-speed digital interfaces.
  • Ability to translate system requirements into hardware designs and test specifications.
  • Experience using requirements management and configuration control tools such as DOORS, ClearCase, or ClearQuest.
  • Experience with electronic design tools such as Cadence Concept, Allegro, Mentor DxDesigner, or Expedition.
  • Familiarity with Electronic Warfare (EW) systems.
  • Current Secret or Top Secret Security Clearance.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
