Spring 2027 Controls / Electrical Engineering Co-Op

West Chester, OH
Monday - Friday 8 AM - 5 PM
The Co-op position is a temporary, hands-on learning opportunity for a student enrolled in a cooperative education program. We are looking for engineering students to aid in the design and implementation of control and/or electrical systems for automated material handling equipment. This is project/application-based work that provides new and varied technical challenges from one project to the next.

Duties / Responsibilities

  • Using AutoCAD for electrical design including device layout, schematic and control panel design and communication architecture.
  • Assisting and shadowing Senior Engineers.
  • Performing component selection and bill of material preparation.
  • Configuring standard PLC programs for real-time control of automated equipment and collection of diagnostic and production data.
  • Assisting in on-site technical checkout of material handling equipment and controls.

Required Skills / Abilities

  • Have exposure to AutoCAD or AutoCAD Electrical.
  • Have exposure to programmable logic controllers (PLC) or programmable automation controllers (PAC).
  • Enjoy working as a team to lead the way in providing superior solutions to our customers.

Education amp; Experience

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, Computer Engineering Technology or Computer Science
Work Environment
This is primarily a desk-based role, requiring extended periods of sitting and computer use. While the role is mainly desk-based, mobility within the office, manufacturing facility and customer sites may be required for meetings and interactions with colleagues.
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Ability to traverse office, manufacturing facility and customer sites.
