GeoSpectrum is growing and has a new career opportunity for an experienced Engineering Records Coordinator!

Reporting to the Director of Custom Solutions, the Engineering Records Coordinator is responsible for accurately entering, organizing, and maintaining engineering records within the companys ERP system. Working closely with our engineering team, you'll create and maintain ERP part numbers, bills of materials (BOMs), and engineering records that support procurement, manufacturing, and operations. In addition, you'll contribute to CAD data management activities, such as maintaining standard hardware libraries and ensuring consistency between CAD models, drawings, and ERP records.

As a highly collaborative, cross-functional role, you'll work at the intersection of engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and operations, making a meaningful impact on the accuracy and efficiency of our processes every day.

Responsibilities

  • Engineering to ERP Data Management
    • Receive inputs from the engineering team, including drawings, CAD models, specifications, and engineering BOMs.
    • Create and maintain part numbers, descriptions, attributes, and structure in the ERP system.
    • Build, review, and release accurate bills of materials (BOMs) in the ERP system based on engineering inputs.
    • Ensure ERP data accurately reflects engineering intent, revisions, and approved configurations.
    • Manage basic engineering change updates in the ERP system in coordination with engineering.
  • CAD & Documentation Support
    • Maintain and organize basic CAD files such as standard hardware libraries (fasteners, purchased parts, common components).
    • Ensure consistency between CAD libraries, drawings, and ERP part records.
    • Support standardization efforts for part naming, numbering, and documentation.
  • Data Quality & Process Improvement
    • Maintain high standards for data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
    • Identify gaps, errors, or inefficiencies in engineeringtoERP workflows and suggest improvements.
    • Support documentation of processes related to part creation, BOM management, and data handoff.

Qualifications

  • Mechanical or Electrical Technologist or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience working with an ERP system - SAGE 300 experience an asset.
  • Experience creating, reading and interpreting engineering drawings, BOMs, and basic CAD outputs.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills


Security Requirements

All candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain Canadian Controlled Goods and Canadian Government Security clearances.
