Position Summary:

The Real Property and Facilities Management Intern will support the Director in managing and maintaining the organization's real estate assets, facilities operations, and capital improvement projects. This internship offers a hands-on learning experience in property management, space planning, vendor coordination, and sustainability initiatives within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:

  • Assist in maintaining and updating property records, lease agreements, and asset inventories

  • Support the coordination of routine maintenance and repair activities across facilities

  • Help analyze space utilization and assist with space planning and allocation projects

  • Conduct research on industry best practices related to facilities management and real estate

  • Aid in the preparation of reports, budgets, and presentations for senior leadership

  • Collaborate with vendors and contractors on service delivery and performance tracking

  • Participate in site inspections and document compliance with safety and regulatory standards

  • Assist in planning and coordinating office moves, renovations, or sustainability projects

  • Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling, document filing, and data entry as needed

Minimum Job Qualifications:
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Facilities Management, Real Estate, Architecture, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with CAD or space planning software is a plus
