ESCO Maritime Solutions Inc (MSI) is looking for a highly motivated student for an engineering internship. The Intern will work independently and in a team environment and be responsible for various projects including research and development, prototype design, tooling design, hardware/software design, and process improvement for human-machine-interfaces, bonded strain gauge sensors, controllers inductive position sensors, and manufacturing systems.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and complete various projects in research and development, design, and/or process improvement
- Projects may include researching new technologies, electrical or CAD design of products and assembly/test fixtures, software design of modern user interfaces or microcontrollers, contacting and working with vendors to manufacture custom parts, automation and improvement of existing production processes, producing engineering and production documentation
- Other duties may include designing laboratory experiments and producing technical reports.
- Responsibilities will vary depending on the intern's background, coursework, and project assignments
Required Skills:
- 2-3 years of higher education in Electrical, Computer, Mechanical Engineering or other technical engineering program
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Good organizational skills
Desired Skills:
- Coursework or experience with CAD software (e.g. KiCad, Solidworks, Altium, or Inventor)
- Experience with electronic equipment (power supplies, multimeters, oscilloscopes)
- Coursework or experience with control and data acquisition (e.g. Labview, Python, Arduino)
- Coursework or experience with programming (e.g. Python, C, VBA)
- ECE: DC and AC Circuits, Circuit Design, Electronic Circuits, Statistics, Programming
- ME: Applied Mechanics, Design and Manufacturing, Finite Element Analysis, Fluid Dynamics
