Job description

Overview:

Join a team supporting SPY-6 radar engineering capabilities for the U.S. Navy. This technical role
focuses on systems engineering, radar performance, signal processing, and integration throughout the system lifecycle.

Travel: Travel to Moorestown NJ and Wallops Island for a period of 3-5 days to support testing. Some local travel to the Navy Yard or Quantico VA. Likely maximum of 5 trips a year. Clearance:

An ACTIVE Secret Clearance is required for this position. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US Citizenship is required to obtain a clearance.

Requirements:
  • 4+ years of experience
  • Experience supporting systems engineering activities including requirements development, specification management, systems integration, and design verification.
  • Ability to develop, analyze, and maintain system requirements, interface documentation, and engineering baselines while ensuring traceability throughout the program lifecycle.
  • Experience supporting radar systems, sensor technologies, Navy combat systems, or other complex defense systems is preferred.
  • Experience using engineering models and simulations to assess system performance, validate requirements, and support engineering decisions.
  • Experience planning, coordinating, or executing system testing, analyzing performance data, and supporting laboratory or integration testing activities. 
  • Familiarity with MBSE tools, processes, and methodologies used to support system design and integration.
  • Ability to work closely with government engineers and multidisciplinary teams to support system integration, technical reviews, and program execution.
Responsibilities:
  • Engineering support to determine radar concepts and evaluate feasibility of integrating SPY-6 on foreign ships.
  • Develop and execute systems engineering plans.
  • Create and maintain system requirements, specifications, and interface documentation.
  • Support system architecture, requirements decomposition, and hardware/software allocation.
  • Perform modeling, simulation, and system performance analysis.
  • Participate in system integration, verification, and testing activities.
  • Develop test plans and analyze system performance using MATLAB and laboratory tools.
Education: Minimum of a BS/BA in a STEM field from an accredited University or College (Specifically, A Bachelor’s degree from an a school of engineering with at least one curriculum accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) as a professional engineering curriculum in one of the following fields: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineer, Electronics Engineering; or A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in one of the following fields of study: Mathematics, Computer Science, or Physics) Compensation:

Compensation at SimVentions is determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, education, training, security clearance, work location, skills, knowledge, and competencies, as well as alignment with our corporate compensation plan and contract specific requirements.

The projected annual compensation range for this position is $102,000 - $147,000 (USD). This estimate reflects the standard salary range for this position and is just one component of the total compensation package that SimVentions offers.
