Job Summary:
Located in San Jose, CA, the Application Engineer will be responsible for supporting the Configurator Application. This role requires collaborating both within the core team and independently with Sales teams, FAEs, System PMs, and customers to resolve application issues. Additionally, the engineer will answer technical questions and partner with developers to provide recommendations and solutions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements from stakeholders
• Translate needs into functional specifications, detailed user stories, system design maps, and process flows
• Collaborate with System Product Managers (PMs), developers, QA teams, and cross-functional departments to implement Configurator Application solutions
• Analyze business processes and recommend system functions, features and UX/UI improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity
• Collect, validate, and analyze data from multiple sources to support system enhancements and business decisions
• Create and maintain functional specifications, technical documentation, workflows, and process documentation
• Maintain data accuracy, integrity, security, and compliance with company standards
• Develop test plans, support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), execute defect triage, and validate that delivered solutions meet acceptance criteria
• Prepare reports, dashboards, and data analysis to support business operations and decision-making
• Provide end-user training, documentation, and ongoing technical support for business systems
• Able to support and back-up the Technical Support LiveChat Agent when required
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience as Application Engineer, Computer Science, Computer Engineer or equivalent
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
• Experience in gathering and documenting business and system requirements
• Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication capabilities to translate complex technical jargon into actionable business language
• Ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, reporting tools, or project management tools is a plus
Salary Range
$80,000 - $100,000
The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
