Job Description
  • Assists shop & field operations by providing in person engineering support for heavy equipment assembly, installation and troubleshooting. 
  • Functions as a "boots on the ground" liaison between the operations organization and the engineering hub. 
  • Reports/relays field nonconformances to the quality and engineering team.
  • Stands ready to rapidly deploy to the field to gain "eyes-on" situational awareness and troubleshoot.
  • Accompanies sales/operations managers to the field to meet with customers to make technical presentations.
  • Reviews/audits field installation procedures, operations and maintenance manuals.
  • Facilitates field trials of new products to determine design limits and needed improvements.
  • Regularly visits field locations and to develop rapport with TechnipFMC field service personnel and customers. 
  • Work time distribution is 50% traveling to field and 50% office & shop. 
You are meant for this job if:
  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Engineering Technology.
  • Working knowledge of specific process technologies, procedures, products and applications.
  • Knowledgeable of wellhead, frac or pressure pumping product lines.
  • Familiarity with automation and control systems preferred.
  • Oilfield product design experience.
  • Must be familiar with/willing and able to learn CAD and Database systems related to Engineering functions.
  • Ability to troubleshoot product non-conformances with little supervision on field service/plant location.
  • Ability to provide product life-of-field data for product improvement.
  • Working knowledge of competitor products preferred
