What you’ll do:

  • Serve as a Compliance Business Partner for the company's Operations & Planning Compliance
  • Act as a technical expert to ensure implementation of NERC Reliability Standards within regulatory deadlines
  • Lead and support organization-wide compliance strategies, priorities, and documentation efforts
  • Conduct risk assessments and contribute to internal control actions and lessons learned initiatives
  • Monitor standards drafting activities and provide guidance on new or revised NERC standards
  • Support audits, spot-checks, self-certifications, mitigation plans, RSAWs, and evidence documentation
  • Identify process improvement opportunities through internal assessments and industry best practices
  • Perform gap analyses on new standards and establish processes to maintain compliance and reliability
  • Review and quality check compliance evidence and provide guidance to Subject Matter Experts
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with industry associations, regional entities, and internal stakeholders
  • Represent the company in conferences, regulatory meetings, and industry outreach activities

What you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent relevant experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of related industry experience
  • Experience implementing and/or maintaining a NERC compliance program
  • Knowledge of Generator Protection Systems, Facility Ratings, SCADA Systems, Transmission Planning, or related operational areas
  • Experience with renewable generation assets and compliance programs
  • Familiarity with standards associated with Transmission and Generation Control Centers
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, both technical and non-technical
  • Prior utility or NERC O&P compliance experience, including audit support and compliance monitoring
  • Ability to work independently and drive projects through completion
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to fostering a culture of compliance
