Job description

This posting is to create a pool of interested applicants from which the department may draw as sections become open at any point during the academic year. This posting may or may not result in hiring, dependent on our current needs, but we will keep applications on file. We are seeking adjunct science instructors for Cameron University in Duncan and/or Lawton.

POSITION TITLE:

Part time Adjunct Faculty for the Cameron University, Department of Chemistry, Physics & Engineering

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Adjuncts holding this position may teach a maximum of 9 credit hours a semester.

  • Responsibilities will include teaching engineering courses such as CAD, Solid Works and/or Electrical Circuits which are required for our Associate of Applied Science degree in Engineering. It will also require attending some mandatory university and department meetings, collecting assessment data for the courses under your instruction, and holding office hours for your students. The position requires the instructor to teach day and/or night classes as well as online courses. Other duties as assigned. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • For courses taught in the Associate of Applied Science degree in Engineering, a Bachelor’s Degree in the field of engineering is required plus a minimum of 18 or more graduate hours in engineering OR three years of tested experience in the field of engineering.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s Degree in Engineering

Commensurate with experience and qualifications.
