The Assistant Mechanical Engineer supports the design, documentation, and coordination of mechanical engineering projects in industrial and processing facilities. This role builds the technical foundation, field skills, and client-facing experience needed for future licensure while contributing to high-quality project outcomes.ResponsibilitiesPrepare specifications, calculations, equipment and piping layouts, and monitor work for compliance to applicable codes, accepted engineering practices and EAD standardsDevelop proficiency in EAD equipment layout, piping design, drafting standards, and construction documentation practices.Specify process and mechanical equipment, including but not limited to tanks, pumps, heat exchangers, conveyors, pneumatic conveying systems, dust collection, and HVACDevelop and design HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems for industrial facilities.Participate in field verification, measurement, and documentation activities.Perform technical design reviews with other disciplines to ensure design integrity.Adhere to all safety standards and project protocols.Support business development efforts through data gathering, technical input, and proposal assistance.Perform other duties as assignedRequirements:B.S.
