Position Summary:
The Engineering Intern will support a variety of engineering and facility-related initiatives throughout the summer term. This role offers hands-on experience with real-world manufacturing projects while enabling interns to apply classroom knowledge to professional environments. The intern will work closely with engineering and operations teams to contribute to process improvements, project execution, and organizational efficiency.
Requirements
Job Duties:
  • Assist in engineering projects across departments as needed
  • Assist in anticipated facility upgrade or improvement projects
  • Conduct time studies to evaluate and improve planning efficiencies
  • Create and maintain work instructions for key processes
  • Analyze current workflows and recommend process improvements to enhance productivity
  • Participate in 6S activities to support workplace organization and efficiency
  • Assist in process and quality improvement projects
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of engineering solutions
  • Other duties as assigned

Education:
Actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
Experience & Skills:
  • CAD knowledge required (SolidWorks preferred)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-based environment
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Familiarity with process improvement methodologies is a plus
  • Must successfully complete a criminal background check, drug screen, and E-Verify
