Micro-LAM, Inc., a rapidly growinglocal company, isseekingan organized,knowledgeableand goal-oriented individual toparticipatein its extremely dynamic internship program. The candidate will be involved in designing,prototypingand testing key componentsrelated to optics manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

Undertake and successfully complete product development tasks to include any of the following: writing and/or verifying specifications,maintainingproduct documentation, testing processes, and validating equipment and processes.

Be part of a team in inventing or creating concepts and designs for new products,processesand test methods.

Design,procureand fabricate simple tooling and fixtures.

Designs and performs engineering tests and experiments.

Prepare standard reports to communicate results to technical team.

Design parts on SolidWorks.

Prototype and test parts for current and future products.

Identifyareas for improvement, suggestsolutionsandsubmitidea records.

Requirements:

- Students pursuing a bachelor's or graduate level degree in engineering will be considered

- Position could continuethroughout the schoolyear and intothe summer semester on a part/full-time basis

-Desire to get involved andparticipatewith innovativeideas

- Proficient in CAD (preferably SolidWorks)

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Knowledge in machining, metal working, and quality control is a plus

- Capable of working independently

- Ability to multi-task and meet short deadlines
