SUMMARY
The Machine Operator I (2nd shift) is an entry-level position responsible for the safe and efficient operation of production equipment used in the manufacturing of components and assemblies. This role supports production goals by operating assigned equipment, loading and unloading materials, monitoring machine performance, and ensuring products meet established quality standards within an ISO 9001 quality management system. The Machine Operator I follows standardized work instructions, maintains a safe and organized work area, and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and or abilities required.   • Operate assigned manufacturing equipment and workstations in accordance with established work instructions, procedures, and safety requirements.
  • Load raw materials, components, and workpieces into machines or fixtures as required.
  • Monitor machine operation and product flow to ensure efficient production and adherence to established cycle times and output targets.
  • Conduct visual inspections of parts and assemblies to verify conformance with quality standards and work instructions.
  • Identify and report product defects, equipment issues, material shortages, or other production concerns to the supervisor.
  • Complete required production documentation and transactions within ERP or manufacturing systems to maintain accurate production and inventory records.
  • Follow ISO 9001 procedures and documented quality processes to ensure consistency and compliance with customer requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment through daily 6S/housekeeping activities.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity.
  • Work collaboratively with team members, supervisors, quality personnel, and other departments to achieve operational objectives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or GED preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Previous manufacturing, production, assembly, or machine operation experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to follow written work instructions and standard operating procedures.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to enter information into manufacturing or ERP systems.
  • Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals.
  • Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment is preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented manufacturing environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and work instructions consistently.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, and variable schedules as business needs require.

Total Rewards
The compensation range for this position is $36,600.00 - $55,000.00, depending on experience. This position may be eligible for performance based bonus plan.
