General Summary:
Qualcomm's Computer Vision Systems team is building the intelligence behind the world's most advanced Snapdragon-powered devices, from next-gen mobile phones to autonomous vehicles, IoT, and immersive AR/VR platforms. The group's work spans across computer vision algorithm development, CV accelerator architecture, and on-device prototyping. If you're passionate about shaping the future of on-device vision processing, this is where your work will reach billions of users.
We're looking for a Computer Vision Solutions Engineer who thrives at the intersection of algorithms, hardware, and real-world productization. • Support engineering teams in building, integrating, and deploying CV APIs for commercial products.
  • Develop clear and thorough technical documentation, diagrams, and sample materials that showcase the capabilities of the Snapdragon Vision API for end-application developers.
  • Ensure deliverables meet schedule expectations and KPI targets, proactively identifying and addressing risks.
  • Collaborate closely with system, software, hardware, and product teams throughout CV feature prototyping and commercialization.
  • Contribute effectively in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment with distributed cross-functional teams.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Preferred: Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.

Minimum Skills

  • Strong understanding of CV concepts, algorithms, and deep-learning-based vision pipelines, with a track record of delivering commercial CV solutions.
  • Proficiency in designing and implementing products using vision APIs, following established standards and best practices.
  • Strong coding and debugging skills in C/C++ and Python, with the ability to rapidly prototype and evaluate CV features on device.

Preferred Skills
  • Experience with CV and ML libraries such as OpenCV, TensorFlow, and PyTorch (TorchVision), including image processing and deep learning workflows.
  • Working knowledge of embedded systems and architectures, especially hardware CV accelerators.
  • Experience producing high-quality API documentation and technical materials.
  • Familiarity with commercial software development practices and SDLC methodologies.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.
