Manage BigQuery datasets, tables, views, and authorized views.

Implement and maintain data retention and partitioning policies.

Monitor slots allocation and manage reservation configurations.

Set up and maintain BigQuery Omni for multi-cloud deployments if required.

Performance & Cost Optimization
  • Optimize query performance using clustering and partitioning.
  • Analyze execution plans to eliminate full table scans.
  • Monitor and minimize GCP slot utilization and query costs.
  • Implement materialized views and search indexes to accelerate queries.
Security & Governance
  • Enforce Identity and Access Management (IAM) roles and permissions.
  • Implement row-level and column-level security policies.
  • Audit data access patterns using Cloud Logging and Data Plex.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
Data Integration & Operations
  • Collaborate with Data Engineers to optimize ingestion pipelines (Dataflow, Datastream).

L1 and L2 support

  • L2 Support: Conducting in-depth problem analysis and performing complex system configurations. Uses log analysis, diagnostic tools, and technical competency to get to the root of an issue rather than just treating the symptoms. L2 also frequently acts as the bridge between the end‑user and L3 software engineers or development
