UVP has a new opening for a Systems Administrator in Bloomington.
SUMMARY
The candidate will have a strong Server Administration and Networking background. They will be responsible for installing and configuring new cloud servers, virtual and physical network devices and firewalls. Proactively manage and maintain the existing IT infrastructure (Win11 | Server 2016-2022 | SQL) and conduct upgrades as directed. They will administer, support and deploy core Microsoft, SQL, Azure and Google Cloud servers. Produce and manage system backups. Implement security fixes, operating system patches and antivirus software/definitions on multiple closed/stand-a-lone networks. Maintain up to date inventories on all hardware, software, firmware, applications and licenses. Create troubleshooting documentation and Standard Operating Procedures. Ensure continuing systems operability by providing ongoing optimization and problem- solving support. The selected candidate will act as an escalation point Subject Matter Expect and will be expected to assist with troubleshooting the most complex situations in person or over the phone with technical and non-technical personnel. Analyzes risks and/or vulnerabilities and takes corrective actions to mitigate or remove them. Assist in the design and implementation of Disaster Recovery plans and IT Policies. Starting pay is $70-85K/year.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Strong ability to troubleshoot and resolve server, desktop, network or other IT issues.
  • Strong Microsoft, SQL, Azure, and Google Cloud experience

  • Complex VLAN Configurations - Meraki
  • Experience with Medical Practice Management systems and Electronic Medical Records systems
  • Strong Experience in physical to virtual/cloud Server Migrations
