Responsibilities:
The Senior Database Administrator - Oracle EBS Applications will support Barrow Wise's Chicago Board of Education project and perform the following duties:
  • Operate, maintain, and monitor various application databases
  • Implement new technology and documentation, as well as define and implement proactive maintenance procedures
  • 24/7 on-call support for production systems (on a rotational basis)
  • Work with the assigned application support team during new production implementations
  • Exhibit strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-oriented focus
  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge in:
    • Oracle 12c/19c+ Real Application Clusters (RAC) administration
    • Multi-tier configurations
    • Oracle Clusterware 11g/12c
    • ASM 11g
    • Oracle database backup and recovery
    • Oracle Fusion Middleware 12c/19c+ installation and administration
    • Structured Query Language (SQL) Single Sign On (SSO)
    • Microsoft Active Directory (OID) implementation and administration
    • UNIX/Linux Shell Scripting skills

An ideal candidate has the following:
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent field. Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification or better.
  • Preferred: Experience with NCS Pearson SMS, Maximus TieNet, Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE), Application information lifecycle management, AppWorx system automation, and Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM)
  • Five (5) years of experience with the support and maintenance of enterprise-level SQL environments
