Computer Aided Dispatch Administrator (Onsite)
Primary Location: Chicago, Illinois
V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for a Computer Aided Dispatch Administrator for our premier client in Chicago, Illinois.
Education and Experience ยป
  • Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience working within or consulting Public Safety Organizations.
  • Proven working experience implementing, configuring, or managing CAD, Mobile, or RMS systems.
  • Intermediate/Advanced Experience with MS Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, SharePoint).
  • Subject Matter Expert in CAD, RMS, Mobile, and other public safety systems.
  • Intermediate IT knowledge including database management, networking, and virtualization.
  • Knowledge and understanding of how software projects are delivered.
  • Ability to connect and maintain strong relationships with the project team and client.
  • Must be able to gain CJIS certification or pass background checks per client requirements.

Nice to have:
  • Experience with or knowledge of Geographic Information Systems.
  • Basic understanding of cloud technology.
  • Knowledge of Central Square CAD products a plus.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Job Responsibilities:
  • Works as part of a team that implements, supports, and maintains public safety software solutions, including: Installation of software, Configuration and implementation, Testing, Training and Troubleshooting.
  • Ensure quality standards and proper compliance with client rules and regulations.
  • Building and maintain quality relationships with client and end-user resources.
  • Application file maintenance.
  • User and security application management.
  • Environment administration (production, test, training).
  • Configuration of application business logic rules based on the City's needs.
  • Documentation of Chicago specific application settings.
  • End User application assistance.
  • Consultation with the client on new process changes and application options.
  • Manage cross-department dependencies of applications.
  • Apply application updates.
  • Assist the trainers with application-specific content.
  • Troubleshoot application issues.
  • Rotational 24x7 support.
