Job description

Envision Employment Solutions is currently looking for a Data Operations & Support Engineer for one of our partners, a global leader in the IT Services and IT Consulting.

Job Summary

The Data Operations & Support Engineer will ensure smooth operation and support of enterprise data platforms and integrations. The role includes monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining production workflows across systems such as SAP PO, Informatica, and Cloudera, ensuring data integrity and timely issue resolution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing the implementation end to end to apply the data strategy scope for operation and support the enterprise data management functions
  • Effectively use supporting tools, data accessibility, logs and narrative to identify and present / data issues root cause for different data functions
  • Implement and manage the process of production data operation, deployments, documentation and population to ensure adherence to corporate data operation management.
  • Work closely with all data functions, manage and apply all support processes undertaken in compliance with bank policy, internal controls, data protection legislation and relevant national / industry standards.
  • Identify opportunities through which to deliver process efficiency / improvement and develop data automation proposals through which to communicate and deliver the change.
  • Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders, subject matter experts and external clients and vendors.
  • Apply and manage the process of data backup / restore and data archiving solutions
  • Managing the availability of data throughout the data lifecycle
  • Managing the performance of data solutions, layers and transactions
  • Connect database standards from DBA to data support Requirements across data management Layers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information System or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in data operations, data support, or a similar role
  • Hands-on experience with Cloudera (Hadoop ecosystem)
  • Hands-on experience in Informatica (Operations & Support), including monitoring workflows, troubleshooting failures, and supporting production environments.
  • Experience with SAP BO.
  • Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
  • Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments.
