Software Engineer-Developer 3 (Hybrid - Aerospace Platform)
Location: Oklahoma City, OK (Hybrid) | Job Type: Contract
About the Role
Join a forward-thinking team driving innovation in aerospace technology. As a Software Engineer-Developer 3, you will contribute to the next generation of mission-critical, embedded flight software. This hybrid position offers a collaborative agile environment with opportunities to impact defense and aerospace systems. Local candidates work onsite; non-local candidates travel as needed.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test embedded real-time software components for aerospace platforms
- Support software functional requirements and interface specifications
- Contribute to architectural decisions and enhance existing system architectures
- Develop and implement software using test-driven methodologies
- Conduct and participate in peer reviews throughout the software lifecycle
- Collaborate with Agile teams in sprint planning and delivery
- Troubleshoot, resolve defects, and ensure high-quality code for mission-critical systems
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry
- 5+ years' hands-on experience with Ada programming for embedded, real-time flight software
- Practical exposure to aerospace, defense, avionics, weapons, radar, or government programs
