About the Employer
The Riverside County Office of Education (RCOE) is a service agency supporting the county's 23 school districts that serve nearly 430,000 students. RCOE provides administrative support to districts, leads programs for preschool, special education, pregnant minor, corrections, migrant, and vocational students, and offers professional training, support and resources for teachers, administrators, and staff throughout Riverside County.
Job Summary
The purpose of Instructor, Computer Programming is to supervise and instruct students in the assigned areas of vocational training and career development; to teach students entry-level employment skills for a career in the stated field; to establish and maintain an orderly, safe, and well-disciplined classroom learning environment; prepare students for the Computer Engineering field based upon essential Computer Science fundamentals; guide students through the application of problem solving strategies; develop student skills in programming languages; deliver project-based learning through building and coding robotic hardware/software; and to perform other job-related duties as assigned. This position is under the general supervision of the CTE Coordinator/Principal and may supervise instructional assistants or other related clerical staff.
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Credential Copy (Valid California Designated Subjects Vocational or Career Technical Education Teaching Credential for the subject to be taught (Refer to the Commission on Teacher Credentialing pamphlet for Designated Subjects Vocational Teaching Credentials)
  • Letter of Introduction (Letter must be specific to the position for which you are applying)
  • Letter(s) of Recommendation (Two (2) Letters of Recommendation are required and must be signed by the author.
