The Beacon Project - Cafe Assistant
Duties Include:
  • Greeting and engaging teens
  • Maintaining a positive and welcoming attitude
  • Light food and drink preparation (microwave, airfryer)
  • Light computer work and filing
  • Assisting Beacon Coordinator, Board, and Team Members
  • Maintain a clean and inviting space
  • Sweeping, mopping, taking out trash
  • Cleaning the bathroom
  • Logging, storing, and organizing donations, including working with the online inventory system
  • Packing food boxes, breaking down boxes
  • Lifting heavy boxes (30 pounds)
  • Working with and around minors/teens so discretion is required
  • We have a strict privacy policy due to the circumstances and age of our clientele (minors) so selfies, videos, etc. are not allowed in or around our location.
  • Candidate will have to sign a confidentiality agreement

Skills:
  • Basic computer skills
  • Organized, friendly, and have a positive attitude
  • No smoking/vaping/drinking/drugs/weapons on or near premises.
  • Familiar office equipment - Bilingual - Spanish preference
  • The dress code is casual, with a neat, clean appearance. Avoid clothing that is overly revealing or has offensive patterns or slogans.
  • Torso must be covered.
  • Closed-toed shoes must be worn at all times.
