Job description

Job Description & Responsibilities

We're looking for an Assembly Technician with prior experience in electromechanical assembly or similar skills; particularly with cable making. You will join a team of technicians at our New York City headquarters who are responsible for all final assembly of our industry-leading Wave Relay products. Successful technicians will gain exposure to all areas of the assembly process, as well as support the quality and safety standards of the company's products. As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for turning the company's ideas into finished products for our customers.

Position Responsibilities

  • Performing various assembly tasks in support of the company's Production function including soldering, crimping, cable-making, and other general assembly work.
  • Following established processes and procedures to support the final assembly of products.
  • Assisting with the testing, evaluation, and deployment of products
  • Providing recommendations for process improvement
Job Qualifications & Experience

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience with assembly tools and materials; must have soldering and cable making experience
  • Strong electro-mechanical background
  • Experience in a manufacturing/assembly environment; electronics preferred
  • Position requires strong manual dexterity, including both gross and fine manipulation; ability to assemble products by hand
  • Working knowledge of computer software, including word processing, Internet, and e-mail
  • Must have a United States security clearance or the ability to obtain a United States security clearance

  • Associate degree inย a technical field
  • Demonstrated experience with root-cause analysis and troubleshooting
  • Demonstrated experience with quality control and facilitating continuous process improvement

Total compensation for this role is $25.50 an hour based on individual qualifications. Eligible for discretionary bonus.
