Performs scheduling functions as designated by practice. Coordinates incoming and outgoing referrals for office visits and diagnostic testing. Obtains insurance authorization prior to visit. Requires general knowledge of specified procedures, insurance authorizations, and other related functions.


KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED

  1. Demonstrated knowledge of Medical terminology
  2. Two years of previous medical related scheduling experience
  3. Demonstrated organizational and communication/customer service skills
  4. Demonstrated knowledge and skill in utilization of computer application
  5. Demonstrated problem-solving skills
  6. Ability to type 40 words per minute
  7. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with individuals in all levels of responsibility.
  8. Ability to work independently.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED

  1. Demonstrated knowledge and skill in the use of a computerized scheduling system
