Job Description

Extensive knowledge of Phoenix specific processes related to mechanical design of products 

Experience with ITAR regulations and restrictions involving military products 

Demonstrated ability to perform as a design lead on new product development programs 

Experience creating design layouts in NX 

Experience working with global workforce 

Experience managing workflow and leading others in project team environment 

Experience using advanced NX functionality (PMI, path animation, etc.) 

Experience utilizing GD&T including application in inspection and use of inspection tools (Geomagic) 

Experience with other MCOE site product lines, and cross-site work share preferred 

Strong technical, analytical, organizational, problem solving, and interpersonal skills 

Works with self-direction, takes initiative, exercises sound judgment, discretion, and capable of complex decision making in a dynamic work environment 

Demonstrated willingness to adopt new tools and processes, and support implementation 

Experience working directly with Company suppliers to reduce part costs and improve yield 

Understanding of IPDS process and its relationship to product development 

Proven ability to produce innovative solutions to design challenges 

Proficient with MS products - Lync, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: 

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering. In lieu of the degree, a minimum of 15 years directly related experience required 

8 years of related design experience 

8+ years demonstrated experience and proficiency with CAD tools (NX and Catia) 

3+ years demonstrated experience with PLM tools (Teamcenter) 

Experience using analytical tools to evaluate initial feasibility of designs (Ansys and Turbobolt) 

8+ years experience utilizing company drawing requirements and industry drawing standards 

8+ years broad design experience covering multiple Phoenix product lines and component types 

Due to site and ITAR requirements, candidates must be a US Citizen or lawful permanent resident of US
